SimplyBrainArt™ (‘we’ or ‘us’) is a website and app from which paying subscribers can download stimulus material – often known singly as ‘BrainArts” or by the name of the category on the website they are downloaded from. Therefore, it is necessary for simplybrainart.com to gather, use and retain certain pieces of personal information about you when you subscribe to download SimplyBrainArt™ material. When we do so, we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulations which apply across the European Union including the United Kingdom. We are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information for the purposes of those laws.

f. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file which is placed onto your computer or electronic device when you access our website. Such technologies can be used to track users’ activities, and to store information about them. We use these cookies and / or similar technologies on this website to:

i. Gather information about visitors to the simplybrainart.com webpage such as:

  • Time spent looking at each page or category, frequency of visits, location information and which links have been clicked.

3. How we use your personal information.

a. We collect information about our subscribers for the following purposes:

· To identify and manage the subscription(s) you have with us, to process your subscription(s) and to conduct research into site usage.

b. We may share you information with:

· Law enforcement agencies if requested, in order to help prevent unlawful activity.

c. We will not share your personal information with any other third parties.

d. As we use both Woo Commerce and Mailchimp as third parties (see 2fi and ii), please take time to read their privacy policies with regards how they use your personal information.

4. How long your personal information will be kept by us.

We will hold your personal information for the following durations:

· Name (and address if given) for 6 years. This is to comply with UK tax law.

· Email addresses will be held indefinitely or until a request has been received to remove it from our records.

5. Marketing

simplybrainart.com would like to send you information about new and existing categories, competitions, information about where you can post your completed ‘Brainarts’ and other information relating to simplybrainart.com that we feel would be of interest to you and enhance your user experience of the site. Such information will be posted to all subscribers and viewers on the simplybrainart.com website, through our social media pages and, occasionally, directly to you via the email address we have on record for you. You have the right to opt out of receiving marketing for simplybrainart.com via your email. If you do wish to opt-out, please contact us.

As we use both Woo Commerce and Mailchimp as third parties (see 2 f i and ii), please take time to read their privacy policies with regards how they use your personal information may be used by these companies for marketing purposes.

For monthly and annual subscribers, your email details are kept on Mailchimp’s secure servers. Please refer to Mailchimp’s privacy policy for more details.

All reasonable efforts will be made to secure your personal data. In using simplybrainart.com and its services you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data that are transferred from you or to you via the internet.

Please note that we will not transfer your personal information outside of the EEA at any time.
